2 Philly Marathons (best ~4h15min), 2 Half marathons (1h40min), 2 10 milers (best 72 min), Loads of 5k and 10ks, Colby College Track & Field (400m, 200m, long & triple jump)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Qualify for Boston, Sub 20 min 5k, sub 42 10k (PR 43 min), keep working on my core and flexibility

Long-Term Running Goals:

Lots of marathons, including neat ones like the one in wine country in France, to always feel that runner's high, to stay injury free, to keep my core strength and flexibility at a max.

Personal:

Running is my balance, my passion, my strength. It represents all my best and worst qualities: determination, goal-setting, enjoyment of nature, stuborness, intensity, obssessiveness...the list goes on. I have wanted to qualify for Boston for a long time and I'm ready to tackle it. I'm going to use the Philly Marathon in November to qualify for it. PLEASE let me know any training suggestions. I need to shave 30 minutes off my time!!! I'm ready for the next level.

2 mi warm up then lifting with Cristin.  Light arm workout (bench, tri's, bi's, push ups, ab/core routine).  Felt good.  Legs are feeling fine after the race.  My health is better.

8 min/mile pace.  Still recovering from the brochitis, so felt weak especially the beginning and the last two miles but able to keep steady 8 min/mi pace.  Drank too much (again) & threw up the gatorade.  Whoops.  Bit chilly in the lower 60s.  Sunny.
